Metallic Frames: Gold and Navy Layered Card
Greetings Friends. It’s Teri posting for CutCardStock! These Metallic Frames are a wonderful contrast to the deep navy of the cardstock in this elegant and fun card. This card is full of texture and dimension. Check out how that was achieved!

The Components
The contrast between blue and gold is stunning! Emboss the Basis Blue Cardstock piece using Altenew’s Antique Linen 3D folder. Swiping an embossing pad across the top provides the stickiness to adhere gold embossing powder. I did wipe off some of the powder to give a varied finish to the base. Set the background aside after heat embossing and move onto the frames and flowers.
Stamp the layers of Altenew’s Delicate Primrose stamp on Cougar 80 lb. White Cardstock. I used one of Altenew’s mini cube sets. It makes it easy to achieve these gorgeous blooms. Cut the individual flowers and leaves out and set them aside.

Simon Says Stamp’s Frames Die set was perfect as accents on this card front. I cut one layer with Currency Gold Cover Cardstock and one from the Cougar White Cardstock and attached them to provide dimension.
Select a sentiment from Altenew’s Essential Sentiments set. Layer with the Basis Blue CardStock to create the perfect sentiment.

Putting it all Together
Arrange the metallic frames on the blue base and glue to attach in a balanced arrangement. Isn’t the contrast impressive? Add the flowers across the bottom and up the left side. Pop the center flower with foam tape for dimension. Attach the sentiment near the top of the card.
Attach this base to an A2 card base created with Cougar 110 lb. White Cardstock. The heavier cardstock provides a firm base.
