Happy June, CutCardStock fans! Can you believe Summer is here?? I canβt wait for all the pool parties and backyard barbecues! Well, today Iβm showing you how to get ready for the festivities with this adorable picnic table-inspired party banner.

I am a huge fan of gingham so Iβm working with a die from Scrapbook.com and the cheerful Wild Cherry Red Pop Tone paper. Iβve cut 2 slimline panels, then cut them each in half, trimming off the open edges of the pattern.
These panels are then glued to a 4.25β by 5.5β of Basis White 110lb. card stock, leaving about an inch at the top for borders later.

Next, I cut letters from my Cricut in the Pop Tone Black Licorice paper. This font style is called Noahβs ABC Animal Alphabet. I like it because it gives the banner a circus appeal. These letters measure 3β high to cover the panels well.

The sunflower borders are a die from a Stamps of Life set, cut in a couple different paper colors. My base flower is a yellow stripe pattern paper, and the middle flower is Astrobright Solar Yellow card stock. I pinched the leaves slightly to get a 3D effect.

For the middles I used Pop Tone Black Licorice and secured them on with EK double sided adhesive dots. The leaves are cut from Pop Tone Gumdrop Green, glued in behind the flowers. Assemble the flowers at the top, leaving space in each corner for a hole punch.

My final steps were to thread the panels with a natural colored twine, and finish off the look by tying raffia in between each panel. Itβs now ready to hang over your party table or, in my case, across our new barbecue grill!

I hope you have a great Summer kickoff! Check out all the fun CutCardStock Pop Tone colors this month – it will add cheer to all your crafty projects! Until next time!
