Gold cardstock can add such a pretty accent to just about any type of card.  I think the Currency Cover Gold is particularly lovely with leaves.  For my project today, I wanted to combine gold with another bright color. So, I started off by die-cutting some leaves with Currency Cover Gold as my starting point.  I then did a quick search on some color combinations and saw some great options with blue and gold.
I ran my Kaleidacolor Blue Breeze ink pad across this gorgeous butterfly stamp using my Misti. Then, I re-stamped it with Versamark and heat-embossed it with clear powder. The clear embossing really makes the ink colors “pop.”
After trimming out my butterfly, I stapled my gold leaves to a die-cut circle I embossed using the Woven embossing folder from Sizzix.  I used Environment Desert Storm card stock for the circle.
I added everything to a panel of Cougar White Super Smooth card stock (which I die cut with a rounded rectangle die). Then, I added a sentiment from Avery Elle and popped it up onto a folded Cougar A2 notecard with some foam tape.
I have a video HERE outlining my process.
Thanks so much for joining me today.  Be sure and head over to the CutCardstock shop to see all the gold and silver card stock options that are on sale this month.
