Camouflage Appreciation Card Tutorial
Happy Veteran’s Day! Show your gratitude with this handmade, masculine Appreciation Card featuring a camouflage background and rugged die-cut boots — perfect for Veterans Day, Memorial Day, or any time you want to say “thank you” to someone who serves. Hello, I’m Karen Hasheck here today sharing the steps for creating this special card in a video.

The card features a Royal Sundance Linen Emerald Cardstock base. Layered camouflage stenciling was applied to Brown Bag Kraft Cardstock. The boots are die-cut from Brown Bag Kraft Cardstock with inking added, giving them realistic dimension and detail. To make the sentiment stand out, I used a layered “Appreciate You” die cut — the white top layer pops beautifully against the camo background.
This design with a combination of earthy tones and bold textures makes it both masculine and meaningful.

Project Tips:
- Use foam adhesive behind the sentiment and boots to add depth.
- Ink the edges of the boots lightly for a more rugged, worn look.
- Finish with a handwritten message inside for a personal touch of gratitude.
Crafting this card was a wonderful reminder of how a handmade gesture can make someone feel truly appreciated.
