Nativity Box Card

Hi everyone, I hope you’re having a great first week of November! Have you started on your Christmas card/project crafting? To be in a good spot, I need to step it up a notch, lol… I’ve fallen a bit behind! Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for a nativity box card using lots of cardstock from the CutCardStock store, which I’ll list below. Also used an SVG cut file along with patterned paper and die cuts in my stash. So let’s make a box card!

Cut the Pieces

Firstly, cut all the pieces from the following cardstock:
Basis Navy 12×12 – card base and inserts
Red Pepper 12×12 – filigree, berries and sentiment layer
Rubber Ducky Yellow – background and star
Sandcastle – background
Pop Tone Jellybean Green – holly leaves
Lessebo Hunter Green – holly leaves shadow
Vanilla Bean Brown – stable
Classic Crest 80# Solar White – Joseph, Mary and sentiment panel

Adhere the Layers

Secondly, adhere the layers on the inside back piece.

Next, move on to the outside back piece (reverse side of previous step) and then the front piece.

Finally, move on to the two inserts.

Assemble the Nativity Box Card

Thirdly, let’s assemble the nativity box card. Doesn’t matter which side you start with, but adhere the short tabs to the inside of the larger side tabs to form the box shape.

Now bend the tabs on the two inserts toward the back and adhere them to the inside of the box card. I find it easier to adhere the second one and then the first one; seems easier to get even spacing.

Similarly, adhere the other side of the two inserts, starting with the second one and then the first. Push the side folds toward the right and then toward the left to ‘train’ the card to fold in either direction.

Finished Nativity Box Card

All that’s left to do is add a sentiment to the front and one to the back, and your nativity box card is finished.

Summing up, these are the other products I used:
PAPER: Keep It Simple O Holy Night 12×12 Collection Pack and O Holy Night Die Cut Pieces
DIES/PUNCHES: Cyndy G SVG Nativity Envelope Box Card SVG Cut File
ACCESSORIES: Cricut Explore Air 2, Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue
