There is something about shimmery paper that gives me all the heart eyes! Stardream Metallic cardstock is the perfect crafting paper…it’s heavyweight holds shape, you can still print on it, and it adds a little bling to your project.
You don’t need a ton of colors to make a fancy card; in fact, for this card, I used all the same paper for a fun, monochromatic winter card. Check it out!
Supplies needed:
–Stardream Metallic cardstock in the color Mars
–Tombow Adhesive
–Dimensional Foam Adhesive Squares
–Die Cutting Machine
First, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out all the shapes. The “Winter Blessings” file was found in the Online Silhouette Design Store. Then I added a couple of snowflakes and a polka-dotted background.

Begin with the top layer first. I added some dimensional foam squares to the back of each letter, then placed it within the border.

For the “blessings” word, I decided to just glue it with my Tombow adhesive, so it would add to the dimensional look.

Next, I then added some foam squares to the polka-dotted background and placed that on my card base.

Then I continued to add on each layer using more foam squares.

Lastly, I added my snowflakes to make it more “wintery.”

I love things simple and elegant, and I think this card is just that! With beautiful paper, you don’t have to use lots of colors. You can showcase one type of shimmery paper by creating dimension within the card.

With this easy process, I’m sure you’ll be able to whip up many monochromatic cards! Be sure to check out all the other beautiful colors of the Stardream Metallic Cardstock line. Happy creating!
