Bitty Bug Valentine
Hello cutcardstock friends. Get ready to spread some love this February with this super simple, handmade lady bug card that kids and adults alike will love crafting. Birgit here with you today with a sweet bitty bug Valentine card.

The Supplies:

For today’s project, I used the following supplies: 80# DCS Red Pepper, 83# Lessebo Bubble Gum Pink, 83# Lessebo Blossom Pink, 80# Royal Linen Eclipse Black, 80# DCS Dolphin Gray, 80# DCS Canval Textured Wedding Cake, as well as dies from my stash.
Preparing the Background:

To begin with, I didn’t know what color I would like better for a background, so I embossed both a piece of DCS Dolphin Gray, as well as a piece of Wedding Cake using a brick embossing folder.
Die Cutting:

Next, I die cut the bugs twice out of each color of Red Pepper, Bubble Gum, Blossom Pink and Eclipse Black and then created all the bugs by mixing up the color combinations.

As you can see in the photo above, I ended up with a lot of bugs! That’s okay with me, as I’ll have plenty of bugs left over to use on future projects.

I also die cut stitched scalloped circles out of 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White as well as a gold frame cut from Gold Bright Foil cardstock.
Assembling the Card:

I then moved on to assembling the card by gluing the scalloped circles to the center of the Dolphin Gray embossed background, adding the gold ring over the top. I continued by centering the ladybug to the center of the circles.

Next, I die cut letters from Red Pepper cardstock and glued them to the bottom of the card to finish this cute and easy card.

This card turned out so cute and it’s an easy design to mass produce, so you can spread the love to all your friends and family.

I truly enjoy using all the quality cardstocks found in the CutCardStock store. They offer a rainbow of colors, and a variety of weights and textures. Mixing and matching cardstock is easy and fun!
