Rainbows, Sunshine and Surprises
Everyone loves rainbows, sunshine and surprises, right? Hello, I am Karen Hasheck, and I am combining all of those in my card today.

Cut Card Front and Card Base
Add texture to a piece of ombre’ yellow paper from the Chalkboard 6 x 6 Pad with Memory Box’s Pinpoint Burst Plate.

Did you know you can order a Pop Tone Color Swatch Book? I wasn’t sure which colors to order in my first design team package. I ordered a sampler, and the bright yellow was perfect for my die cut sun.

Cut a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock 5 ½ inches by 8 ½ inches. Score in half forming an A2 side folding card base.
Create and Attach Pop-Up Rainbow
Die cut the arch halves in the Karen Burniston Arch Pop-up Die Set.

Next die cut two of the solid arch pieces from the Rainbow Add-on Die Set. Glue them on the back of the arch covering up the holes.
Die cut the stitched rainbow twice out of white cardstock. Color with rainbow colors using Copic Markers. Glue onto the completed arch. Add two sided scor-tape to the outside tabs.

With a ruler, measure two inches from the fold on the top left hand side of the card base. Next measure down about ¾ of an inch. Mark with a pencil.
Flip the rainbow arch and adhere the tab horizontally on that pencil mark.
Fold the arch in half and remove the tape cover. Close the card onto the arch. The rainbow arch should now stand up each time the card is opened. Attach a die cut sun to the middle of the rainbow.
Stamp Sentiments and Complete the Card
Stamp two sentiments from Karen Burniston’s Rainbow Greetings Stamp Set on the leftover ombre yellow paper. Layer onto die cut ovals cut from orange striped paper from the Halloween 6×6 Pad. Attach both to the card. Finish by adding yellow and rainbow enamel dots.

Each time the recipient opens this card a colorful rainbow pops up. A fun surprise sure to bring smiles and delight!

I hope this card inspires you to share some cardmaking sunshine and joy. Make a card or two and join me in sending some handmade joy out into our world!
Cardmaking Joy & Hugs,
Karen
