Frankenstein Candy Bar Holder

I’m not one to go all out for Halloween, but when I saw this Frankenstein Chocolate Bar holder, I had to make some for my coworkers. I know they will enjoy the treat. How can they not? They are adorable…ahem…I mean, scary!

After uploading the free SVG into Cricut Design Space, the first thing I did was change the cut lines to score and attach them to the main body of the design.

Most of the pieces were cut from scraps of various Pop Tone colors (see below for the list), but I did use a full 8.5 x 11 sheet of Basis Dark Purple for the main body. The cardstock cut perfectly even the small pieces!

Before putting them all together, I used a purple and green marker from my stash to add some color to the edges and other areas of the cuts to add dimension and highlights. The nose is put on with foam adhesive, otherwise all pieces were adhered with liquid glue. Double sided tape would work as well, I just prefer liquid glue with small pieces.

Look at that face! You can already tell that it’s going to be a fun project and using all these bright colors makes it even more fun! The white panel in the center is perfect to add a little note or Halloween greeting.

These were so fun to make and easy to put together. The 3D box holds a regular size Hershey Bar with Almonds, Twix or M&M’s. Yummy!

Pop Tone Cardstock Used: Spearmint, Sour Apple, Olive, Lemondrop, Orange Fizz, Black Licorice

Basis Cardstock Used: Dark Purple

(You could certainly use Pop Tone Grape Jelly as an alternative to the Basis Dark Purple. It’s a little lighter weight and a little easier to get crisp folds.)
