Ink Blended Pet Sympathy

For this card, I used the Basis Folded Card set in Aqua – but I didn’t use the Aqua for the card base. I love having these sets and using the colored cardstock for accents on the card and then use a white card base. Then you still have the perfect matching envelope for your card! I love that Cut Cardstock has options for already cut and scored card bases, I use the White Cougar A2 folded cardstock in 110lb. It is so convenient to have them already cut and scored, and the weight of these are amazing.

For ink blending, I always reach for the Cougar White Super Smooth cardstock – I used the 80# on this card. The super smooth surface makes ink blending so easy and gives beautiful results.

I started by stamping this beautiful patterned paw print on the cougar using embossing ink and white embossing powder.

Once embossed, I die cut the panel using a label shaped die and then it was time to ink blend! I used a light blue and light minty green to blend two colors over the paw print. Having the white embossed image on the white Cardstock, the ink blending allowed for the beautiful patterned image of the paw show through beautifully.

I layered the ink blended panel onto a mat layer label die cut that was cut from the Aqua cardstock.

All that was left to complete this card was to stamp the sentiment, and then popped it up on the cardbase using foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed my project today! I would love to see all your ink blended and colorful masterpieces – tag me on Instagram! Purple Puppy Papercrafting
