Mixed Media Holiday Cards
Hello friends. Do you get your holiday cards out on time? Teri here and today I am sharing a couple of mixed media cards with Savoy 100% Cotton and Kromakote Cardstocks from CutCardStock.

This card has a multi-layer mixed media background with an ornament created with Kromacrote cardstock and alcohol inks!
Create the Base
Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock handles lots of inks and water very well. Start by ink smooshing with two ink colors. Add a few layers to create the depth. Use a stencil and ink to add additional texture to the base. Once dry, add a layer of Texture Paste Opaque through a stencil and add silver embossing powder. Tap off the excess and set aside to dry. Once dry, use a heat tool to cure the embossing powder.

Create the Ornaments
Select coordinating colors of alcohol ink and apply to Kromekote Cardstock. Kromekote is a glossy cardstock that handles alcohol ink very well.

I love the depth of color you can get on this shiny cardstock.
Once dry, stamp and emboss and image with silver embossing powder.

Fussy cut the ornaments.
Assemble the Mixed Media Card
Trim the base to 4 x 5.25 inches. Attach to an A2 base of Stardream Silver Metallic Cardstock. Die cut an evergreen branch with Opulent Opal Cardstock. Attach to the top and add the circular alcohol inked ornament using foam tape to pop up.
Emboss and die cut a sentiment of your choice using Cougar 110 pound White Cardstock. Glue to the bottom of the panel.
Attach the panel to an A2 card base made of 110 lb. White Cougar Cardstock.

A Second Card
You may have noticed on the ornament photo above; there was a second ornament. Here is the second card:

The only difference is this ornament is paired with a stamped and embossed background.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you and yours are having a wonderful holiday season. Be sure to check out all the various cardstocks and other supplies at CutCardstock.
