Memories Made Layout
Hello and happy Thursday!
Misty here with you today to share a super quick layout that I made. This layout features my husband with his 3 daughters. With Father’s Day, quickly approaching, we need to remember those amazing men in our lives! I decided the best way for me to do that was to make a layout to add to his album.
I began with the photos that I wanted to feature along with some masculine colors…green and blue are masculine, right? Stardream Metallic Lagoon is definitely one of my all time favorites. Paired with the gorgeous vibrancy of Stardream Metallic Fairway Green, I couldn’t go wrong! Right? Also, since there were several photos that I wanted to include from the one photo shoot, I decided to use envelopes to conceal some. Some Stardream Metallic #10 Policy Envelopes were PERFECT for the job!

Cutting it All Out
My project began with a clear goal in mind. To make a masculine layout to Add to mu husband’s Album.
Keeping that in mind, I used my Cricut to cut out several large tropical style leaves using Stardream Metallic Fairway Green. These would be perfect to maintain the “Big Bold Masculine” look! I admit, did get a little sidetracked with the dainty leaves that I cut with the CCS Silver Glitter 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. However, I only cut a few of those…just for decoration. No harm done to the masculinity of the page.

Where it ALL Went Wrong…
After gluing my envelopes to the page where I wanted them, I cut an insert for both using the Stardream Metallic Lagoon and Stardream Metallic Fairway Green. In addition to holding extra photos, I decided to use this as an opportunity for some hidden journaling. It was perfect! The layout was coming together wonderfully, UNTIL, I got distracted by those big beautiful flowers-AGAIN! Danggit! Those things are my kryptonite! Along with the leaves, I started layering the flowers and the epherma, and it just took on a life of it’s own. The masculine layout that I had envisioned was anything BUT Masculine! However, I was extremely pleased with the results.

Final Touches
Since I had already stolen its “Man-Card”, I decided to go all out and add in some glitter mist, sparkly beads, and a few sequins for good measure. When I presented it to my husband, I probably should have just not said a word. However, I started out with. “Look Honey, I made you a masculine layout…with Green and blue colors~!” He looked at it, smirked and said, “That’s a LOT of pink flowers. Are you sure you’re not color blind?” LOL Oh well! At least I tried!
Maybe you will have better luck! Head on over to the Cut Card Stock Store and grab your Green and Blue Cardstock and see what you can create for that Man in your life! Don’t forget to grab your Envelopes for any cards you will be sending, or even add some to one of your own layouts! There are several styles on sale this month…grab them before they are gone!
Thank you for stopping by today. I do hope that I have inspired you to get crafty, and maybe even start putting your photos into an album. It is NEVER too late to get started!

Misty, your scrapbook layouts always amaze me! This one is beautiful and creative as always!
