Groomsmen Gift Bags
Wedding season is upon us. One of the things I appreciated about my daughter and son-in-laws wedding was the personal touches they added. It makes the day memorable for all. Hi, it’s Patty and for today’s project share I created gift bags for the Groomsmen.

Cardstock
To Create the gift bags, I used the following cardstock:
- Discount Cardstock Dolphin Gray
- Discount Cardstock Patriot Blue
- Cougar White
- Astro Bright Eclipse
Getting Started
My first step was to create the plaid I wanted. I used Cougar White Card Stock and Taylored Expressions Plaid Layering Stencil to create the plaid. The ink colors used were all Catherine Pooler, On The Lake, Party Dress and Dress Blues. Cougar White is my favorite white cardstock. I have overstocked myself because it ink blends so well.
Secondly, I cut out the gift bags using Dolphin Gray and Patriot Blue cardstock. I used the Gift Bag A&B die set from Pixi Dust Designs as well as the Careers Uniform Gift Bag Add On. I then cut out the shirt, collar and buttons from Cougar White Card Stock. The flowers, sunglasses, blue ties and belt buckles were all cut from Cougar White. The belts were out of Astro Bright Eclipse. To finish die cutting, I cut out the suspenders and bow tie from the plaid card stock I made.

Adding The Details
Once Everything was die cut, I ink blended around the edges of all of the white pieces using Simon Says Stamp Fog Ink. Next, I colored all of the gold pieces with a gold acrylic paint marker. I colored the sunglass lens with my black Copic marker. I cut the lens out and glued them to the frames I had colored in gold. Finally, I took all of the pieces and glued them on to the white shirt.
Building The Gift Bag
The gift bags were easy to build. First, you put double sided adhesive on the two tabs.

Second, peel off the adhesive, line up the edge and adhere. Tuck in the bottom side panels, then the panel with the notch. Finally, tuck in the panel with the tab.
You will want to crease the embossed lines on the side to get the gift bags in the proper shape.

Fold the top flap over and tuck in the tab and your bag is finished.

Adhere the shirts you have made to the front of the bag (back is shown above). I also like to add a sentiment to the back of the gift bags or just a note. Below are a couple of ideas.

Even though the gift bags were created for the Grooms party, It would work beautifully for Father’s Day as well.
Thanks so much for joining us today. It is always a pleasure to create with you!
