Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Halloween Card

Ha! Do you see what I did there? No, I wasn’t stuttering, this is my second Beetlejuice themed Halloween card this week! (Peep the first on first one right here) I thought it only fitting that my title copy the title of the new Movie. Of course, we certainly can’t say it THREE times! Hence, this will also be my last card for the week, ha ha ha!! Hello and Happy Saturday to you all!! Misty @ Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing another Halloween card.

Building a Tombstone

It is actually not as hard as it looks! Of course, I started by gathering up my supplies from CutCardStock and any other bits I may want to use. This time, I reached for the Lessebo Colors Line and it was the perfect choice! I used Granite Gray, Cement Gray, and Pitch Black to build the tombstone itself. When I assembled the pieces, I used these Double Sided Foam Adhesive Circles to give it a bit of dimension. I ended up running out before I finished and had to dig through my stash for something comparable. PRO TIP: Make sure you order extra adhesive so that you don’t run out in the middle of a project!

Earning Your Stripes

Just like I did before, I used black and white cardstock to create the stripes of Beetlejuice’s suit. This time, I used the Lessebo Pitch Black paired with the DCS Canvas Textured Wedding Cake White. By mounting the strips onto Lessebo Granite Gray, it created the perfect insert for the inside of the card. Next, I printed my sentiment onto a generic heavy weight cardstock and mounted that onto Stardream Metallic FAIRWAY green. Of course I used the 5×7 A7 gatefold card in Stardream Metallic Amethyst again. When creating a Beetlejuice Halloween Card, I have to use Beetlejuice colors, right!!??

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice …

Don’t say it again! You know what happens if you say it three times! Let’s just let “The Ghost with the Most” lie here in his grave not bothering anybody. LOL… While “You can’t Trust the Living” you certainly can’t trust the dead!
Finally, let’s assemble this “Grave-card” and be on our way! First, center the gravestone on the 5×7 A7 gatefold card in Stardream Metallic Amethyst, but only glue down ONE HALF. Don’t make the mistake of gluing it all together!

Next, open the gate folds and glue in the sentiment insert that you created. Finally, add any extras to enhance your card. I used an arrow, tiny mulberry roses, and tiny alphas just to add visual interest. I could have added pen detailing or even some ink to make it more grungy looking, but I liked it just the way it was. SO… I left it alone.

When all was assembled, I tied it together with the same ribbons that I used on the other card. I love that I now have a PAIR of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Halloween cards to give! Now I just have to figure out who the lucky recipients will be!
