Trifold Window Thank You Card

Hey everybody, Happy Thursday! Here’s wishing you a great rest of your week! Leslie here, with a tutorial for making a trifold window card featuring several of our new Lessebo cardstock colors. The Lessebo line replaces my favorite Basis cardstock that is no longer carried. I’m happy to report that it’s just as awesome as the Basis was! I cut the card bases from Lessebo Ivory and Aubergine, and created a striped background using Hunter Green, Aubergine, Granite Gray, Arctic Blue, Navy Blue and Ivory.

Cut Card Base & Layers

Cut the card base, an inside layering panel and strips from Lessebo Ivory.

Next, cut an A2 size piece of copy paper to adhere the strips on for the background.

Similarly, cut an inside folded panel and strips from Aubergine.

Finally, cut a few more strips from Hunter Green, Granite Gray, Arctic Blue and Navy Blue.

Create Background

Adhere the strips to the copy paper in random fashion and trim the edges.

Cut Aperture in Front Flap

Using a large die, cut an aperture into the front flap.

Stamp Focal Image

Stamp the coordinating focal image on the Ivory piece cut from the front flap and color it with alcohol markers.

Adhere Folded Panel, Focal Image & Layers

With the fold at the bottom, adhere the inside folded panel cut from Aubergine.

Close the flap upward and adhere the focal image directly beneath the acetate window.

Adhere the leftover strips in a horizontal fashion to the inside layering panel cut from Ivory.

Add Sentiments & Complete Project

Stamp the inside sentiment in black ink on a scrap piece of Ivory, trim, and adhere to folded panel.

Next, stamp an additional inside sentiment and small heart in black ink directly on layering panel. Color the heart with an alcohol marker.

Finally, stamp the front sentiment in black ink on a scrap piece of Ivory, trim, and pop it up on the front with a foam strip. Add several blue gemstones to the front panel to complete the project.
