Coloring on Black Card Stock
Have you ever done any coloring on black card stock? It’s not one of the easiest things to do but can be very effective with the right materials.
Hey there! It’s Judy VZ here and I’m sharing my latest project for CutCardStock. It’s a Father’s Day card I created by coloring on black card stock with metallic pencils.

I started by doing some stamping with VersaMark watermark ink onto a piece of Basis BLACK 80lb Cardstock. Clear embossing powder was used to heat emboss the stamped images.

Color is added with metallic pencils by coloring inside of the embossed lines.

A 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card base was made with a piece of the Basis BLACK 80lb Cardstock. I cut a piece of Basis WHITE 80lb Cardstock to 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches. The colored panel measures approximately 5 1/8 x 5 1/8 inches.

The Basis White Card Stock was adhered to the black card base. I added a rectangular strip of black and white striped card stock from Christmas Holiday Print 6×6 Card Stock pad – Assortment – 18 sheets. My stamped and colored piece was torn around the edges for a little texture and adhered to the card center. The sentiment was die cut using the Basis BLACK 80lb Cardstock. This was glued to a strip of the Basis White Card Stock and fussy cut.
The sentiment was adhered with foam tape across the stamped piece and I added 3 black enamel dots to finish.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today and give coloring on black card stock a try!
That looks amazing! I bet it is even prettier in person!
