Thinking of You Masculine Card

Hey everybody! I hope you had a great weekend! How do you feel about a blue and brown color combo?! Leslie here sharing a mini slimline card featuring my favorite Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock for the base. Textured Blue Hydrangea cardstock, Brown Bag Kraft Paper and Beach Side Prints cardstock brought this card together. I’ve always loved blue and brown together, and even with a few brown pearls, this ‘thinking of you’ card has a masculine feel.

Cut Card Base and Layering Panels

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock. Next, I cut a front layering panel and an inside embellishing strip from a plaid patterned paper in Beach Side Prints, along with an inside layering panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. I die cut two reversed scallop frames and the sentiment from Blue Hydrangea cardstock. Similarly, I die cut the sentiment shadow and cut a narrow embellishing strip from Brown Bag Kraft Paper. To keep from losing the tiny pieces, I went ahead and adhered the sentiment and shadow.

Adhere Layers

I adhered one of the reversed scallop frames to the front plaid patterned paper layer. Next, I adhered the embellishing strips to the inside white layering panel, and adhered the other reversed scallop frame.

Add Sentiments

I adhered the die cut sentiment and shadow to the center of the front panel. Next, I stamped the sentiment on the inside panel in brown ink.

Assemble and Complete Card

The front and inside panels were adhered to the card base. The final step was adding several brown pearls.
