With Sympathy
Hello to all fans of CutCardStock, new and old! This is one of your newer friends and CutCardStock DT members, Karen. I’m so excited to be here sharing this project using the FABULOUS cardstocks found at CutCardStock. You know, unfortunately, we all need a sympathy card from time to time. It’s good to have them on hand, and CutCardStock makes it easy to create a nice sympathy card (or any other card for that matter). They really have every cardstock you could ever dream of, and then some!

Card Base
For this card, I used a gorgeous Jelly Bean Green A2 Folded Card as my base. I absolutely LOVE this deep rich green color. These gorgeous A2 Cards come in a wide variety of colors and are so convenient and ready to use. They make it easy to create something beautiful. Just having the right color(s) of cardstock can make all the difference in making our projects. CutCardStock has every color and every kind of cardstock you can imagine. I’m so excited to try more colors of these gorgeous A2 Cards.
Layering
Next, I attached a cool patterned paper from the American Crafts Chalkboard 6×6 Card Stock Paper Pad. The patterned paper gives my card just a little more color. It pulls in one more color for me to incorporate into my design. Then, for my next layer, I used the Strathmore A1 Watercolor Cards. I cut the card right down the center making it (no longer a card) two separate pieces of watercolor paper. On the one piece, I painted some green ink and stamped my sentiments and musical accents, and the other piece was used to add a stamped sentiment on the inside.

Finishing Touches
Some inking, machine stitching and a seam binding bow were the finishing touches.
You can find lots of great inspiration on the CutCardStock Blog and the Creating With CutCardStock FB Page. You can find further details about this card on my personal blog.
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek today. Please don’t forget to stop by CutCardStock to get all your gorgeous cardstock.
