Curious Metallic Cardstock Hugs Card

Change a Daisy to a Gerbera Daisy! Hello friends, It’s Teri here posting for CutCardStock. The focus this month is Curious Metallic Cardstock – a great cardstock with a subtle shimmer.

Loving the range of pinks achieved with the cardstock plus Copic Markers! The effect allow the flowers to really pop!

Let’s look at the layers of this card.

The base of the card is Virtual Pearl Curious Metallic Cardstock. Create dimension on the lower half by using the Intertwined Embossing Folder from Sizzix on the Pink Quartz Curious Metallic Cardstock. A few swipes of Archival Watering Can Ink added extra dimension. Love this three dimensional result! It adds such a focal dimension to the card!

Pink Quartz Curious Metallic Cardstock provided the perfect base to stamp the flowers from Hero Arts Daisy and Bugs Stamp and Die set! Pink Copic markers added the perfect array of colors. Die cut the flowers with the coordinating dies!

Putting it all together

The basket weave piece, cut at an angle provided the perfect line for the flowers. Check out how your eye follows the line of flowers from left to right. This was attached over the Virtual Pearl base. Next, the flowers were attached with foam tape adding dimension to the center flower.

Finally, Altenew’s Hello and Hugs Die set provided the perfect size sentiment. Three layers of the Hugs die cut and glued together provided the perfect focal point. Add additional contrast was by coloring it with the darker pink Copic marker. The sentiment strip heat embossed on Pop-tone Black Licorice Cardstock is from Taylored Expressions.
