Fall Vintage Truck Shaped Card

Happy Tuesday, everyone, I hope you’re having a great week so far! Are you ready for Fall yet, or are you hanging in there for more Summer?! I’m definitely ready for Fall! Leslie here with a tutorial for making a Fall vintage truck shaped card. I used Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stardream Metallic Flame, Bright Gold Foil and Dolphin Gray. Also used Hot Fudge, Red Hot, and Black Licorice from our Pop Tone line. I totally love shaped cards, as they really pack a punch! And when you’re working with pretty papers, you can’t go wrong!

Shaped Card Base & Layers

Using vintage truck shaped dies, I cut the card base and license tag from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. Next, I cut the main truck body, truck bed, and tailgate from Stardream Metallic Flame. I used Bright Gold Foil for the tailgate trim, bumper and license tag frame, and Dolphin Gray for the window and mirrors. And last but not least, I used Pop Tone Red Hot for the tail lights and Pop Tone Black Licorice for the tires. I embossed the tailgate piece with an argyle embossing folder and die cut a stitched oval for the inside sentiment.

Sentiments & Die Cuts

Afterwards, I stamped and die cut the sentiments for the front and inside. I die cut three Fs, three As and six Ls, and stacked them three thick for some dimension. Then I gathered a couple premade die cuts from my stash.

Adhere Shaped Card Layers

The assembly is always the most fun after all the pieces are die cut. I adhered the front and inside pieces, popping up the tailgate on a foam strip.

Add Sentiments

The F-A-L-L letters were adhered to the tailgate and the second part of the sentiment stamped on the license plate. Additionally, I adhered the stamped and die cut sentiment to the inside.

Complete Project

Finally, I adhered the pumpkins to the truck bed along with the garland, and added a few iridescent gemstones.
