Hello everyone! I’m excited to be back as a designer for CutCardStock!

We were blessed to welcome two grandsons into our family late last year and creating boy pages has been a challenge for me as we have several daughters and a few granddaughters, and I tend to gravitate on the girly side with my layouts. That being said, I have found it easy to duplicate a lot of the pages I create, so I can scrap them both at the same time. Ha! (I will only be sharing one of my grandson’s as the other parents do not wish to have their child on social media. They said I could cover up the name and his sweet face, but I have opted to not do that because quite honestly, I don’t want to. ;))

That being said, here is my first project:

The focus this month is on the Curious Metallic Card Stock and I used the following colors: Black Night and Red Lauquer. These were included in an assortment pack that you can find here.

In addition to those, I also used some Stardream Metallic Gold along with Canvas Textured Bonsai Green card stock.

The base of the layout features Wedding Cake White textured card stock.

The cut file I used is from JustNick. Here you can see the pieces as I cut them:

For the base, I added some ink using the packaging technique along with some splatters of darker green. I also added some hand stitching around the inner part of the horseshoe (which I elongated as it was more rounded, and I wanted it to be longer) before I mounted it to the base paper.

I added dimension to the shamrock, but gluing one on another a bit askew and then added some hand stitching.

I picked a couple of simple green and white patterned papers along with a golden piece to back the cut file to keep with the theme.

Now the fun part- add everything on to the page and finish how you want. I added an epoxy flair, a few epoxy dots, and some word stickers. I also added some gold splatter since I felt it needed a little something extra.

As you can (hopefully) see, these metallic papers have such a nice shimmer! And they are thick, which I also like.

I hope I have inspired you to create! See you soon! 🙂
