Teddy Bear and Sunflowers
Hey friends, it’s Melissa and I have a really sweet Teddy Bear and Sunflower themed card to share with you today. So let’s gather our supplies and get started!
Supplies
- DCS Discount Cardstock – Green Curry
- DCS Discount Cardstock – Rubber Ducky
- DCS Discount Cardstock – Scottish Highlands
- Lessebo – Coffee Bean
- Scraps of black and cream cardstock
- Patterned paper from Brutus Monroe
- Teddy Bear dies
- Doily sticker

You just need scraps for die cut image.
Let’s start with the card base.

Cut your card base to the measurements in the photo. This will give you a card size of 4 by 5 1/2. I suppose the score lines could be adjusted to make an A2 sized card but I didn’t play around with that. The score line are along the long side of card stock, obviously. Turn it to the short side to mark those centers and make the triangle cuts.
Next, cut your patterned paper to 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 to decorate the inside. I didn’t, but you can also cut a smaller layer in white for the writing space or create a small sentiment box for the inside.

The next step, you will want to make a belly band.

To create my belly band, I cut 2 strips that measure 1″ by 6″ and glued the two pieces together. Put around the card to properly measure but don’t get it too tight!
Let’s make the front focal point of the card.

Die cut the pieces out for your focal point. I’m using this sweet teddy bear die I got off Amazon. I used scraps of card stock and a bit of decorative paper. Then assemble the pieces.

Isn’t she a doll!? I just love her. I then took a doily sticker and attached it to a scrap of vellum and then glued it to the belly band.

Here’s a view of the card opened.

I hope you enjoyed this process and it inspired you to create something like it. It was a lot of fun and it makes me so happy. Thanks for stopping by!
