Triangle Pocket Fun Fold

Hey everybody, how did it get to be the bottom half of May already?! I’m still shaking my head at how fast the year is flying by. It’s Leslie here with you today, sharing a tutorial for making another fun fold. You know I absolutely LOVE fun folds and I just can’t get enough of them! This CAS triangle pocket fun fold features our Lessebo Pitch Black and Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White. That’s it, friends! I grabbed some red patterned paper from my stash as I love B&W used with one other color! Let’s make this fun fold!

Triangle Pocket Fun Fold

Cut Card Base & Layers for Triangle Pocket Fun Fold

Start by cutting a piece of double-sided paper of your choice at 4″ x 12″ and score it at 4″ and 8″. Most colors really pop with black and white! This tri-fold piece will be the main part of the card with a triangle pocket inside.

Next, cut a 4-1/4″ square and a 3-1/2″ square from Lessebo Pitch Black. The larger square will essentially be the card base and the smaller one will layer on the card front.

Finally, cut two 3-1/4″ squares from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White. One will layer on the front and the other will be tucked into the pocket on the inside.

Cut Tri-Fold

Fold on the double-sided paper score lines so you can better see where to cut. There will be three sections. Simply cut from the top left down to the bottom right of the first and third sections. Re-fold on the score lines to be sure the diagonal edges line up.

Form the triangle pocket by placing a thin line of wet glue across the bottom edge of the right section. Next, fold the left section inward and adhere the piece to the 4-1/4″ black square.

Adhere Layers

With the tri-fold closed, adhere the 3-1/2″ black square to the card front. Apply adhesive only to the top left portion of the square, ensuring an equal border on all four sides. The next photo below shows what your opened card should look like so far.

Add Stamping

Stamp a sentiment and image on both of the white cardstock squares. I used a fun ‘pun-y’ stamp set in my stash that hasn’t been loved in a few years. 😉

Complete Triangle Pocket Fun Fold

Glue the appropriate panel to the card front and add several gemstones.

The remaining panel is for the inside and will be tucked into the triangle pocket.

Summing up, these are the other products I used:
PAPER: Stampin’ Up 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack
STAMPS: PhotoPlay No Pun Intended Fruits & Veggies stamp set, KIS Sentiment Stamps Sunshine & Rainbows
INK: Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Copic Ciao alcohol markers- R14 Light Rouge, R35 Coral; Sharpie Ultra Fine Point green marker
ACCESSORIES: Fiskars 12″ ProCision Rotary Bypass Paper Trimmer, Bearly Art precision craft glue, My Sweet Petunia Precision Glue Press, Mini MISTI, red gemstones
