Spring Wedding Card

It is finally spring where I live, and I am so excited! I love everything about spring, from the chirping birds to the newly blossoming buds. But I think I am most excited for the warmer weather! For my card today, I went with a spring wedding theme. This card design can be used to celebrate any special occasion. I used a few colors of the gorgeous Lessebo Cardstock on my card today. I just love the smooth texture and the great variety of colors. They are quickly becoming some of my favorites. Here is a look at my card.

To start my card-making process, I first chose my color palette. I knew I wanted something chic and elegant for my card so I used Blossom, Sweet Mint, Cement Gray, Smooth Putty and a touch of Stardream Metallic

First, I embossed a piece of Smooth Putty cardstock. The panel measures about 3 1/4 X 4. Next, I added the embossed panel onto Cement Gray, leaving only a tiny sliver of color showing. The Cement Gray makes a great frame to the centerpiece. I added this to the card base using pop dots.

Next, I die-cut the flowers from the Blossom cardstock. The stems are the beautiful Sweet Mint. I added them to the card using some pop dots for dimension. When my flowers were where I wanted them, I added a bow with some silver string. The ‘congrats’ was the final touch. Although it doesn’t photograph well, the Stardream Metallic cardstock has a touch of shimmer and gives a very sophisticated touch.
