Santa Suit Christmas Card

Hello and Happy Friday the 13th! Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here today sharing a card featuring the “Fat Guy’s Laundry!” I sooo wanted to do something with the “Nightmare Before Christmas” theme, but my Christmas Spirit won me over and I settled for a super cute Santa Suit Card!
I always start my projects with gathering my supplies so that they are handy and ready to go. This makes it not only easier to complete, but easier to clean up afterwards.
For this card, I used several options from the CutCardStock Store. From the Lessebo Line, I used Premium PITCH BLACK  and Premium DAWN MAROON . These are very deep colors and perfect for Santa’s Coat! I also used Bright Gold Foil for the buckle on Santa’s belt.

Let the Magic Begin

Once I had the materials together, I began the first phase of making the Santa Suit Christmas card. All the magic is in this tiny little suit…and the jolly fat guy that wears it, right!? I mean, of course there is a bit of magic in his old silk hat, and then there is his universal Magic Key…like on the tag I made previously. However, the coat is the star of the show!

In addition to the card stock from the CutCardStock Store, I also chose to use a fuzzy ribbon. Of course, this was an after thought on my part, and you can certainly just use White Cardstock. There are several options to choose from, and all would look perfect! I was originally going to use the Silk GLITTER Opulent Opal 12×12 Card Stock, before I saw this laying on my desk from a previous project. For the card base, I used Cougar White Smooth CardStock.

Share the Christmas Magic

I have to admit…once I assembled the card and added in all of the embellishment extras, I was so in love! A year ago, I was horrible at card making and could not do it no matter how hard I tried. I never loved a card, and rarely even liked it enough to give to someone. All this year, I have MADE myself persevere and continued to make cards in attempts of getting more confident and comfortable making them. When Santa’s coat was finished and I “hung” it onto the front of my card, I realized that my efforts had paid off. I genuinely LOVE it and there is most definitely MAGIC in that little handmade card. I have just to perfect person in mind who will be receiving this card…and hopefully will feel the Christmas Magic upon opening!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Head on over to the CutCardStock Store and gather your materials for your own hand made cards. Put some handmade love into your gifting this year! We would love to see what Christmas Magic you will be sharing!
