Masculine Birthday Card

Do you make a lot of masculine cards? I don’t know why, but, I just do not create a lot of masculine cards. And, it’s not that they are harder to do than more feminine cards. In fact, they probably are easier to make.

So, I decided to do a masculine birthday card and even threw in a matching envelope for my first CutCardStock project this month.

Gather Materials

Stardream Metallic Card Stock in Copper, Opal and Saturn. This card stock is the Monthly Special for May.

Cougar NATURAL 80 lb. cardstock 8.5×11

3-D Embossing Folder, Square Die, Star Dies, Sentiment Dies, Guitar Stamp, Ink Pads, Adhesive

Cut Card Base & Layers

I started with my card base that measures 5 x 6 1/2 inches.

Cougar Natural Card Stock cut to 10 x 6 1/2 inches, score at 5 inches along the 10 inch side and fold.

Saturn Stardream Metallic cut to 5 x 6 1/2 inches.

Copper Stardream Metallic cut to 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 inches.

I cut a piece of Opal Stardream Metallic to 4 5/8 x 6 1/8 inches and embossed it with the Gemini 3D Geometric Triangles embossing folder.

Layer the three pieces Stardream Metallic card stock onto the card base.

Create Embellishments & Stamp

Cut four 1 inch squares out of the Saturn and Copper card stock for a total of eight. Next, cut these in half and arrange onto a strip of the Cougar Natural card stock measuring @ 5 7/8 x 1 3/8 inches. See photo.

Additionally, die cut two stars and a sentiment.

Next, stamp the guitar onto Cougar Natural with brown ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Fussy cut.

Assemble the Card

See photos for assembly.

Complete Card

I added three mini pearls to the guitar to complete the card.

Envelope

Finally, take an A7 envelope like the Leader Opaque LEE Envelopes and stamp in the lower left hand corner of the front side.

Thanks so much for taking a look at my Masculine Birthday Card project. I hope I have provided some inspiration for you to create more masculine cards.
