Colors of Fall – Thank You
What better way to say Thank You than a metallic fall colored Thank You card?! Jessica here, with a fun, metallic embossed thank you card.

I chose 3 colors from the Stardream Metallic line at Cut Cardstock for this card. From left to right, they are Stardream Opal, Stardream Copper, and Stardream Bronze. These colors are GORGEOUS for fall!

I am embossing today, so I started by prepping the cardstock with anti static powder.

Next, I stamped the leaves and wreath onto the Copper cardstock with embossing ink. I used the same images to also stamp onto the Bronze cardstock.

I love using coffee filters when embossing. You can pour the powder over you image with the excess going into the filter and then dump that back in the jar.

Look how beautiful this is once embossed! I use a soft microfiber cloth to wipe off any excess anti static powder that might be left on the cardstock.

Once I had all the images on both cardstocks embossed, I die cut them using the coordinating dies. I also used the Opal carstock and stitched rectangle die to create the background panel.

When I am building a scene, I like to place all the pieces down until I get them where I want them, and then I take a quick picture with my phone so I can remember where everything goes.

Next, we are onto the greeting. This stamp set include a sentiment that said “give thanks” and I just wanted the “thanks” part.

So, I cut it apart! I know, that is scary! BUT…it make it more versatile, and you can always put it back together and stamp it as it was originally intended.

I left the wreath on the background panel (nothing has been adhered yet), and lined up the sentiment where I wanted it. Then, you can remove the wreath and stamp and emboss the sentiment with the same copper embossing powder as the images.

I used a combination of foam tape and glue to build the wreath and add the leaves.

While the leaves were drying, I prepped my card base. ONE OF MY FAVORITE things over at the Cut Cardstock site are the precut and pre scored card bases. I used the Cougar White A2 precut and prescored A2 card bases, 110# weight for this.

Once the wreath was built and glued down, I added the panel to the card base, added some sequins and this card is done!

Thanks for checking out my project today and don’t forget to go look at all the gorgeous metallic cardstocks available over at Cut Cardstock!
