Hello! It’s Rachelle and today I’m sharing a bright and summery tropical wreath that I feel is a perfect start to June, especially since summer kicks off in a few weeks.

I found this design in the Silhouette store and it’s called Tropical Christmas Wreath (design #326460). Although it’s a Christmas themed design, I simply adapted it by removing the elements that I didn’t want to use.

This project features several of the bright and cheerful Pop Tone Card Stock colors that you can find in the CutCardStock store:

Pop Tone Gum Drop Green, Pop Tone Sour Apple, Pop Tone Wild Cherry, Pop Tone Orange Fizz, Pop Tone Cotton Candy, Pop Tone Razzleberry, and Pop Tone Lemon Drop. I also used Basis Green.

I doubled up on everything to create this wreath since I wanted it to be fuller than what the original design is. In addition, I cut four of each floral piece so I could layer them for extra dimension. These are all optional steps, but something I most often do when creating a wreath.

Once you have everything cut, begin by adding the layers onto each body piece.

Finally, layer elements into a circular pattern until you achieve the desired look of the wreath you want to create. I generally lie all the pieces how I want them and then take a photo, adhering together using that photo as my guide.

Once dry, I added dimension by curling up the floral petals and some of the leaves.

I hope I’ve inspired you to create something summery! There are so many vibrant and colorful card stock papers to choose from in the CutCardStock store. Now is the perfect time to stock up! https://www.cutcardstock.com/
