Comfort & Joy

Hello crafty friends,

It’s me again, Ceal. Today I am sharing a card that was a labor of love and turned out beautiful. To make this card I used the Stardream Metallic cardstock and y’all it’s so gorgeous! Making this card using the stardream cardstock has enabled me to buy it in every color.

I took a close up picture hoping to show the shimmer, you can sorta see it but it was hard to capture it in a photo. I wish y’all could see it in real life.

To make this card, I started with a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base. I cut a panel of Lessebo Moss cardstock for the mat and another one for the background. The set I used is Festive Blooms Dies and stamp by Concord and 9th. When you cut out the background it adds a stitched diagram to follow to add the elements. The poinsettias are cut of of Stardream Jupiter (red) and Mars (maroon). I used Metallic Gold for the flower centers and berries then Fairway (green) for the leaves. The other colors I used are Metallic Quartz (off white) for the other flowers, Lessebo Arctic Blue and Hunter Green for the leaves.

To finish the card, I embossed the greeting a on a strip of Neenah Desert Storm. This was a labor of love because of all the die cut pieces but I love the way it turned out. I am sure I will be making more in other colors once I get more colors of the Stardream Metallic cardstock. We also have a pink and a light teal in the stardream that would be beautiful.

I am ready for the holiday card making season; besides birthday cards they are my favorite. Thanks for stopping by, see ya soon!
