Missing You fun fold!

Happy Tuesday, everybody! I hope your week has started off on a nice note! Do you like making fun folds or do you stick to plain side- or top-folding cards? It’s no secret that I love fun folds! Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for making a front flap card which is one of my most favorite fun folds. I used Navy Blue and White cardstock from our Lessebo line to make this outer space themed ‘missing you’ card. How stinkin’ cute is this guy in his space craft?! And I’m not gonna lie… Lessebo is my favorite cardstock! All of our red, white and blue cardstock is on sale this month, so be sure to stock up!

Cut Card Base & Layers

First of all, you are going to be amazed at how easy this front flap card is to make. To start, cut a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ flat card base from Lessebo Navy Blue cardstock.

Next, cut a 3-1/2″ x 11″ panel from the Lessebo Navy Blue, scored at 5-1/2″ on the long side. This will be the front flap card that will be adhered to the front.

Similarly, cut one patterned paper layering panel at 4″ x 5-1/4″ and one at 3-1/4″ x 5-1/4″.

Additionally, cut an inside sentiment/signature panel from Lessebo White cardstock.

Adhere Layers

Adhere the patterned paper layering panels to the flat card base and the folded front flap card.

Also adhere the white panel to the inside of the folded front flap card.

Afterward, adhere the folded front flap card to the flat card base. You have the option of placing it wherever you want, either toward the left, center or right. Out of habit, I usually place mine toward the left.

Stamp Image & Sentiments

Stamp the image and the front and inside sentiments in dark blue ink.

Die cut the image with the coordinating die, and likewise trim the two sentiments.

Complete Project

Affix the focal image (partly off the flap) and one sentiment to the card front.

Similarly, adhere the other sentiment to the inside.

Lastly, add a few pearls to the card front, which will complete the project.

Summing up, these are the other products I used:
PAPER: Craft Consortium Ink Drops-Vivid 6×6 paper pad
STAMPS: The Project Bin Milky Way stamps
INK: Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink
DIES/PUNCHES: The Project Bin Milky Way die
ACCESSORIES: Cricut Paper Trimmer, Elmer’s Craft Bond Tape Runner, Bearly Art precision craft glue, MISTI stamp tool, Big Shot, Eyelet Outlet 5mm blue pearls
