Buzzzing by to say Hello Honey

Hi friends! Melissa here bringing you a really easy notecard. This card can be mass produced so quickly to have notecards on hand. These single layer cards mail with 1 postage stamp and who can resist an adorable bee.

Let’s gather our supplies:

Let’s make the card!

First off, cut the card base to A2 size and score.

Next step is to cut your decorative paper. I cut mine down as pictured.

Adhere the decorative paper to the lower left corner.

Now let’s place a decorative strip around 2 sides of the papers. The Love From Lizi peel off strips are easy to use and look so great! I was reminded of a former co-worker watching me place strips such as this on a dry-erase board. He said I could do pin-striping for him on cars anytime! He did car restoration as a hobby.

I used a sentiment that was in the paper pack. You can use whatever sentiment is appropriate for your card.

Now we’re going to embellish the card a bit. Let’s die cut out a few bees.

Assemble and using a marker give a little depth.

Lastly, add the bees to the card.

Isn’t this just darling! I added a bit more detail by using a black pen to draw lines to show flight pattern. This also ties the die cut bees to the decorative paper. These look so duper cute.

I am such a huge advocate for bees and their safety. Bees are so important to our eco-system. As per Google, bees are irreplaceable agents of cross-pollination, leading to the growth of fruits, vegetables and nuts. If my daughter weren’t so afraid of bees, I would have a few hives in my back yard. I heard that Morgan Freeman converted 124 acres into a bee sanctuary.

I hope this card inspired you in some way. Maybe to make some easy notecards, maybe to help out some bees. But either way enjoy some card making and get outside to enjoy some sunshine.
