Bold & Blue Scrapbook Layout
Howdy y’all! Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here with you today to share my very first post for 2024 for Cut Card Stock. This one features several of the beautiful shades of blue that you will find in the online store. The Monthly Special for January is all that beautiful Blueness!
First, I used my Cricut to cut the Cutfiles that would serve as a quilted look for the background. Once this was cut, I began adding 2×2 squares of the various blue card stocks to make this beauty!
I used Basis Light Blue, Lessebo Navy Blue, Lessebo Misty Blue, Lessebo Saltwater Blue, and DCS Wedding Cake White. DCS Wild Blueberry Navy Cardstock

For this layout, I chose to feature my son, Tamon, who would be 27 years old on Sunday if he were here.
Yesterday, January 9th, was 8 years since my son has been gone. However, rather than dwell on the hurt and pain of his death, I use scrapbooking as an outlet to remember him. The love and happiness that he put into my life while he was here is something that I will always cherish. Since blue was his favorite color, I felt it fitting to incorporate as many of the gorgeous blues into this layout as I could.

Say My Name
“Say My Name” is the title that I chose for this layout. It is said that a person never truly dies until his name is spoken for the last time. It means volumes that his friends say his name and talk about him regularly. When they do that, it allows his memory to live forever. That is all a mother could ask for.
This was a bit of a difficult layout, but life isn’t always rainbows and unicorns. Scrapbooking really shouldn’t be either, but that is just my opinion.
I scrapbook to document my life – the good and the bad – and hopefully, will be able to look back someday and find joy in even the difficult layouts.
My hope is that you all will, too. Document your memories…scrapbook your photos. You will NEVER regret it.
A great place to start would be HERE at the Cost Card Stock store Monthly Sale!
