Tiled Congratulations Mini Slimline

Hey everybody! It’s hard to believe how fast this year has flown by! Have you started on your Christmas cards, are you plugging away, or are you finished? Since I do Christmas crafting all year long, I’m taking a break and making some other kinds of projects. Leslie here, sharing a mini slimline Congratulations card featuring some awesome cardstock and die cut tiles. I used Pop Tone Spearmint, Gumdrop Green, Jellybean Green, Cotton Candy and Razzleberry along with Bright Silver Foil. Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White and Double Thick 165# Solar White were also used.

Create Tiles

Die cut several solid tiles from Neenah Classic Crest Double Thick 165# Solar White.

Cut multiple sets of tile frames from Pop Tone Spearmint, Gumdrop Green, Jellybean Green, Cotton Candy and Razzleberry along with Bright Silver Foil. Assemble several tiles in various color combinations and decide which one you like best, and assemble two more for a total of three. Play around with the shapes and get creative. And don’t throw those leftovers away – put them in an envelope and save them for another project or two!

Cut Card Base & Layers

Start by cutting a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base and front and inside layering panels from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White. Slimline layer dies were used for all the layering panels.

Next, cut front and inside layering panels and embellishing strips from Bright Silver Foil.

Finally, die cut front and inside fancy scalloped panels and a thin inside embellishment strip from Pop Tone Spearmint.

Adhere Layers

Assemble the front panel by adhering the silver embellishing strip to the center of the white layering panel. Adhere the white panel to the silver layer and then to the fancy scalloped panel.

Move on to the inside panel and adhere the silver and thin green embellishing strips to the top of the white layering panel. Similarly, adhere the white panel to the silver layer and then to the fancy scalloped panel.

Add Tiles

Center the three tiles on the front panel and adhere over the silver embellishing strip.

Add Sentiments

Stamp the front sentiment on a scrap piece of Solar White in green ink and cut it with the coordinating die. Adhere the sentiment to the tiles.

Additionally, stamp the inside sentiment directly on the white panel in green ink.

Complete Project

Complete the project by adhering the front and inside panels to the card base and adding a few silver pearls.
