Celebrate A Fall Birthday!

Hey everybody! Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a great week and your weather is cooling off just a bit where you are! Leslie here, sharing a birthday card featuring Curious Metallic, Pop Tone and Basis cardstock paired with Royal Sundance Natural Felt. I used gorgeous Fall colors because I’m still on the push for Fall and some cooler weather, lol! I used Curious Metallic Gold Leaf, Pop Tone Tangy Orange and Hot Fudge, and Basis Gold cardstock. Royal Sundance Felt 110# Natural for the card base and Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory for the inside panel.

Cut Card Base and Focal Element

A standard A2 size side-folding card base was cut from Royal Sundance Felt 110# Natural. Next, I die cut the main focal element from Curious Metallic Gold Leaf along with two wide and one narrow embellishing strips from Pop Tone Tangy Orange. Similarly, I cut one wide and one narrow embellishing strip and an inside layering panel from Pop Tone Hot Fudge, and a narrow strip from Basis Gold. And finally, I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory.

Adhere Layers

For the main focal element, I adhered both wide orange strips, the brown strip and the yellow strip to the back side of the die cut. For the inside panel, I adhered the narrow orange and brown embellishing strips down the left side of the ivory panel, and then layered the ivory panel on the brown panel.

Add Inside Sentiment

I stamped a sentiment in brown ink on the inside panel and adhered it to the inside of the card base.

Complete Card

I adhered the main focal element to the front of the card base and added several orange gemstones.
