Masculine Birthday Tunnel Card
Hey everybody! Happy Thursday – I hope you’re having a great week! Leslie here, sharing a masculine birthday fun fold. I absolutely love fun folds and I’m always looking for new ones to try. This one is a tunnel card with a pop-up sentiment on the inside! I’ve made quite a few tunnel cards over the years but have never made one quite like this, and it was rather fun! I used Basis Gray, Dolphin Gray and Pop Tone Black Licorice which I paired with some plaid double-sided paper from my stash.

Cut and Score Card Base and Layers
I cut the card base and small front rectangular panel (not shown) from Basis Gray, one inside layer from Dolphin Gray and the other inside layer from plaid double-sided paper. I scored the card base and both inside layers. Two horizontal lines cut into the gray inside layer created the pop-up mechanism. I then die cut a circle into the plaid paper and a slightly smaller circle into a square piece of Pop Tone Black Licorice.

Fold and Prepare Layers
I folded the card base and both inside layers on the score lines. The black cardstock square was adhered behind the aperture in the plaid paper so just a small margin of black shows.

Add Inside Sentiment and Layer
I stamped the inside sentiment on light gray cardstock and trimmed it. Similarly, I layered it on a slightly larger piece of light gray and then a piece of dark gray. The piece was adhered to the left side of the pop-up mechanism and then the layer was adhered to the card base.

Adhere Tunnel Layer
I adhered the plaid layer to the inside of the card base, making sure the sentiment flap was through the aperture before applying adhesive.

Add Front Stamping
I stamped the front sentiment in black ink in the upper right corner of the card front. I stamped the motorcycle in black ink on a scrap piece of light gray, cut it with the coordinating die, and layered it on three additional die cuts for dimension.

Complete Card
I dry embossed the small rectangular panel and adhered it to the bottom of the card front. I adhered the motorcycle element and added several tiny gray gemstones, which completed the card.
