Tri-Fold Scene Card
Hello again friends! Its Teri from TerisMailbox presenting a multicolor TriFold Scene card using Basis Cardstock from CutCardStock!

Check out all the colorful layers and dimension this card has!
You can watch the full video here.
Start with the Die Cuts

Choose a variety of colored CardStock to create this fun scene. Colors used: Basis Dark Purple, Basis Light Purple, Basis Olive, Basis Gold, and Basis Aqua. It appears the Basis Coral is out of stock, but DCS Flamingo or Peach may be a good substitute. What a great landscape scene these colors created!
Using the SimonSaysStamps Layered Hills Die Set, cut the pieces for the scene from landscape oriented pieces. It is helpful to cut them from larger pieces of cardstock so you have some wiggle room to create the landscape.
Create the card base using Cougar 110 lb. White Cardstock. You will need one piece of cardstock 4.25 x 11 inches, scored in the middle plus a second piece 4.25 x 5.75 inches. This allows you to create a flap for the middle section.
Assemble the Layers

Attach the Coral piece to the center base. Next step is to arrange the pieces on the middle layer of the card and trim prior to attaching the hot air balloon and sun. This will identify the best placement for them. This is the 4.25 by 5.75 piece of cardstock not yet attached to the base. Be sure to attach the scenery to the left side to allow for a 1/4 inch score line on the right. Add the Olive grassy piece to the coral piece.

Attach the blue river pieces to the front panel of the card. Trim the front panel to show only the river. Remove the top portion to allow room for the mountains.
Add a piece of 1/4 inch red tape to the right side of the middle section so it can adhere to the back of the card base.

Here you can see how the different flaps layer together.
Finish the Card
Complete the card by layering additional layers behind the sun and attach to the base. The hot air balloon is just visible over the horizon yet reveals itself when the card is open. The balloon, sun and sentiments are from the HeroArts set You Lift Me up.
