Baseball Birthday
Spring is here and that means lots of baseball or at least it does in my household. I needed a birthday card for a LA Dodgers fan so I decided to create this fun shaker card using three colored cardstocks – Cougar Smooth White, Blast Off Blue and Red.

The team logo and baseball stitches were cut using my Cricut and I used a large circle punch to create the circle cut out in the middle of the front panel.

After adhering the clear transparency to the back of the circle opening, liquid adhesive was used to adhere the logo over it.

If you’re like me, you have lots of glitter, confetti and sequins to create your own shaker bits. I never realize how much of it I have until I pull out my “glitter” box. Using a small container, mix everything together until you get a good amount of bits in there. Since I was concentrating on a blue theme, I added blue sequins, glitter, and seed beads plus silver star and red heart confetti to give it some more color.
Foam adhesive is added around the circle and on the back of the front panel. If you double up on the adhesive, it’ll give you a deeper well to add all the pretties. Once it’s filled, add a second piece of clear transparency to create a pocket. This makes it so much easier to place the front panel to the card base.

Once it’s all centered and you’re happy with the placement, completely remove all the adhesive backing and firmly apply the front panel to your card base.

This was a fairly simple card, but with the bold colors of cardstock and the addition of the bling & shine of the shaker bits, it is just perfect for a baseball lover’s birthday!
