Sunset Friendship Card

Hey everybody, happy middle of the week! Is the weather warming up any where you are? We have snow on the ground and it’s hilarious that our southern friends are having heat waves! Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for making a mini slimline sunset friendship card featuring our Lessebo cardstock. This awesome cardstock is 10% off throughout the month of March and it happens to be my favorite. I grabbed Coffee Bean, Brick Orange, Sunset Orange, Cherry Red, Arctic Blue, and White (all from the Lessebo line). Then I chose Twine and Desert Storm for the background panels.

Create Focal for Sunset Friendship Card

Using a sunset-themed die set in my stash, I die cut most of the pieces from Lessebo cardstock. I grabbed Coffee Bean, Brick Orange, Sunset Orange, Cherry Red, Arctic Blue, and White. I used Twine and Desert Storm also.

Then I assembled the sunset in a glass.

Cut Card Base & Layers

I cut the 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from Lessebo Coffee Bean.

Next I cut plain rectangular panels for the front and inside from Desert Storm.

Similarly, I die cut front and inside panels from Twine using mini slimline stitched rope dies in my stash.

Adhere Layers

I adhered the front stitched rope panel cut from Twine on top of the plain rectangular panel cut from Desert Storm. Afterwards, I adhered this panel to the front of the card base.

For the inside, I adhered the plain rectangular panel cut from Desert Storm on top of the stitched rope panel cut from Twine. Then, I adhered this panel to the inside of the card base.

Add Focal & Stamping

I adhered the sunset in a glass to the card front.

Next, I stamped a sentiment in brown ink on the inside panel.

The final step was adding several orange and yellow enamel dots to the card front.
