Magical Birthday Card
Hey, y’all! It’s Laura here from Soul Shine Designs. I hope all of y’all have had great holidays. Today I am deviating from Christmas and Winter to show y’all an easy birthday card. For this card, you only need a few supplies that you most likely already have. Without further ado let’s get crafty.

For this card, I used:
- Tonic Studios Reach For the Stars stamp set
- Watercolors
- Watercolor Paper
- Waterproof Ink
- Embossing Ink
- Gold Embossing Powder
- Heat Tool
- Stardream Metallic Pluto cardstock
- Heavy Weight 110lb cardstock for A2 Card Base

I didn’t know which sentiment I wanted for this card, so I took some scratch paper and did both. I liked having the sentiment in the cloud the best. So I stamped the images using waterproof ink and the sentiment with embossing ink and heat embossed it with gold powder.
I wanted the sky to look like an Oklahoma sunset. So I went through tons of my photos that I have taken of Oklahoma sunsets and found this combo of blue, purple, and pink. I diluted blue and red down with water to get a pale pastel colors. I made sure to overlap the blue and red to get the purple.

Once this panel was dry I added foam tape behind it and added it to a piece of Stardream Metallic Pluto cardstock. I then added more foam tape behind that and added it to a A2 card base. I started to add silver sequins, but I didn’t like how it looked. So I have made my own enamel dots using Gold Nuvo drops and added small ones to help tie in the gold sentiment.
That is it for this simple watercolor magical card. I hope this has inspired you to try some watercoloring.
