Good Morning and happy Wednesday! Misty here today to share a mid-week Masterpiece! I mean, anything made with products from CutCardStock is destined to be a masterpiece, right!? Their products are the absolute best for any paper crafting project HANDS DOWN.
Today I am sharing a layout that I did featuring my 2 beautiful daughters. This is one of the rare moments that they allowed me to take a few pictures of their beauty. As I was taking these photos last year, I kept thinking “HOW LUCKY AM I? To be given the gift of being their Mom.”
I decided to convey my thoughts to paper by making this a “lucky layout” featuring some lucky shamrocks. With my handy dandy DCS Canvas Textured Wedding Cake White 12×12 along with some DCS Canvas Textured Scottish Highlands Greed 12×12 Cardstock , I did just that!

Canvas Cardstock
To Begin, I used the DCS Discount Cardstock Canvas Textured Cardstocks on this project. I paired that with the Shamrock Frame, a newly released cutfile from Peartree Cutfiles. Using the DCS Canvas Textured Scottish Highlands Greed 12×12 Cardstock , I cut the shamrocks first. With a white gel pen in hand, I decided to draw in faux hand stitching around the edges. Next, I used my cricut and cut out the offsett to the frame in DCS Canvas Textured Wedding Cake White 12×12. The frame alone took up most of the page, so I knew immediately that I would not have to do much more to this layout to make it magnificent! After adding some pen stitching to the white, I began adding different elements to the frame. In effort to soften the bright green, I only chose white elements.

Finishing Up
Once I decided what elements I was going to keep and which ones to discard, I started gluing everything down to the frame. I didn’t want to completely cover the gorgeous green shamrocks, so I used smaller elements, such as flowers, enamel dots, and cardstock stickers. After adding elements, I added media texture. The Liquid pearls and Gold shimmer paint definitely added that much needed POP off the page feature!

Now, All I had to do was add my photo! As you can see, There is minimal work to this layout, but the impact is powerful. That green is magnificent!

When friends see my layouts, they OOOOHH and AHHH over them and say that it must have taken me HOURS to do. NO. Ain’t nobody got time for that! From Start to finish, this layout took me about an hour to complete. Drawing the faux stitching is what took the longest time I think. The lack of time can not be an excuse if that takes less time than watching Yellowstone!!! What other excuse do you have for leaving your photos on your phone or in a pile? I can’t think of any.
I invite you all to head over the CutCardStock Store and pick up the papers you need to create your own layout. If you’d like to do a fun St. Patrick’s themed layout, or even scraplift mine, you are in LUCK! You can make all your friends GREEN with envy when you stock up on the green cardstock sale!
