Reindeer Snaps | Raechelle Bellus

Hi y’all! I hope you’ve been having a wonderful Holiday season!

I don’t know about you, but I love to take Snap Chat pictures of my pets! More often than not, they aren’t on the same page as me, and are {shockingly} uncooperative, so when I do get good pics, I get giddy! I’m quite certain they would enjoy them as well, if animals were into photos. 😉

Aren’t they precious?! LOL

To create this layout, the first thing I did was trim a sheet of 12×12 Basis White Card Stock down and then adhered onto the 12×12 piece of Simple Stories patterned paper.

From there I double matted the photos using Basis White Card Stock and then DCS Natural Twine Kraft Card Stock. I then mounted them to a piece of Simple Stories patterned paper that I cut down to fit them. The strip of patterned paper was also added as a grounding point.

To make the adorable reindeer faces, I used metal dies on DCS Natural Twine Kraft Card Stock to cut the base and the outer ear. For the inside of the ear I used a die and Basis Pink Card Stock. I then adhered both ear pieces onto a scrap of Basis Soft Pink Card Stock and then cut when dry (see image below). The antlers were made using Pop Tone Hot Fudge, the nose using DCS Card Stock Red Pepper, and the eyes using DCS Black Card Stock.

I then assembled the reindeer and added a fussy cut piece for two, and a layered bow for the third. To create the layered bow, using a metal die, cut three times, then layer two and cut the center piece from the third and adhere to the middle. This is optional, I just feel that it adds more dimension and looks nicer.

I added some white dots to the forehead areas and a mark to each nose for some whimsy. The ears and antlers were turned up a bit for dimension as well.

To complete the layout, I added an epoxy flair, an acrylic title, and a twine bow.
