Envelope Box and Card Set
Hello friends! It’s Teri with TerisMailbox and I am excited to share this cute Envelope Box and Card set for CutCardStock. I had so much fun creating this set! I was inspired to do this by Kath Stewart who is a maker for Time Holtz.

Create the Envelope Box
Start with a piece of 8.5 x 8.5 inch heavy cardstock. I used Distress Heavyweight Cardstock. Score according to the directions on an envelope score board. Add 3/8 of an inch towards the flaps all around to form the box.

Use your favorite technique to color the background of the envelope. I chose Distress Stain Sprays and Mica Stains in yellow tones.
Stamp with coordinating stamps. I used the Crackle from the Crackle and Specks Stampers Anonymous set along with the floral and butterfly stamps from the Botanic Collage set. I inked the different segments of the stamps with the appropriate colors.
The last additions were the die cut butterfly and the label. The black layer of the butterfly was cut with Black Licorice Cardstock.
Create the Notecards
Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock is a great alternative to watercolor paper as long as you don’t manipulate the cardstock much. Distress stamping is a perfect technique!

Trim the Savoy Cardstock to 4.25 x 5.5 inches to start with. Use your favorite coloring technique to color the base. Distress Sprays are great to get a base layer. Use the tube from the Mica Sprays to flick on spots of Mica Ink. Check out that shine!
Let the bases dry and stamp a background image in Vintage Photo ink. I used the same Crackle image used on the envelope box.

Select the main stamp image. Selectively color the different areas using green ink for the stems, orange ink for the flowers and Vintage Photo for the background words. Spritz very lightly and stamp on the card base.
Die Cut the Embellishments
Use Black Licorice Cardstock to cut the detail layer of the butterfly and the Thankful sentiment. Cut the main layer of the butterfly using cardstock of your choice. I used an ink smooshed piece from my stash. Glue the black detail to the colored base of each butterfly.
Assemble the Cards
Cut Royal Sundance Kraft Cardstock in half (5.5 x 8.5 inches). Score in the center to form the card base.
Cut Orange Cardstock to 5.25 x 4 inches and cut the stamped Savoy Cotton to 5.0 x 3.75 inches. A stitched rectangle die adds additional interest.
Attach the stamped water colored piece to the orange cardstock and then to the Kraft base. Glue the body only of the butterfly and the Thankful sentiment to the front of the card.
Decorate the Envelopes
After creating this cute box and set of cards, the envelopes need to be decorated too!

Stamp one of the Botanical Collage Images in the lower left corner of the Royal Sundance Kraft envelopes. Be sure to use a mixture of colors just as you did for the card images.
