I LOVE coffee. My BFF also loves coffee and I knew what I needed to use to make the perfect birthday card for her! I wanted to use these coffee cup dies, which required different shades of brown cardstock. But I only used 3 different cardstocks for this card!

Esse Pearl Textured Cardstock

DCS Natural White 100# Cardstock

Basis Gray 80# Cardstock

I die cut all the pieces to the coffee cup and laid them out so I could decide how to put it together.

I love having neutral cardstock available, because you can use inks to make it any color you want! I used different shades of brown ink to blend onto the die cut pieces. Having a sticky mat like this makes it so easy to blend on little pieces.

Once all the inks were dry, I was able to glue the pieces together to create this adorable coffee cup! I love using the Esse Textured Latte cardstock because it keeps that beautiful sheen even after you put ink on it. I love that addition of shimmer to all my projects!

I used a rectangle frame hot foil die with some bronze foil to make the frame on the card and then added a sentiment and my coffee cup! For the perfect finish, I added some espresso colored hearts as accents.

I hope you enjoyed this project today! I’d love to see all your inky projects – tag me on Instagram:
