Altered Notebook
Hey there! It’s Judy V here with an altered notebook project created with some beautiful card stocks from CutCardStock.
An altered notebook makes a great gift for someone who loves to journal. You can create one with any theme and colors that fit the personality of the gift recipient.

Start with an inexpensive composition book and a focal. This composition book measures 9 3/4 x 7 1/2 inches.
I found the composition book at WalMart for $0.50. My focal image is from Lana Green Art and is called Daisy Daisy. I colored her with Castle Arts Soft Touch and PastelTint Pencils before fussy cutting.

The front and back covers of the notebook are covered with Stardream Metallic GOLD 105 lb Cardstock. I adhered, butting the card stock up against the black binding, with strong double sided tape.

To enhance my colored image I chose a Create-A-Card die from Crafter’s Companion and cut from the Stardream Metallic GOLD 105 lb Cardstock.

Using a Penny Black daisy stamp, I stamped 3 times on Classic Crest Natural White 8.5×11 CardStock. The images were colored with Castle Arts PastelTint Pencils and fussy cut.

I cut a piece of Pop Tone TANGY ORANGE 8.5×11 Discount Card Stock 9 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches. The top and bottom edges were die cut with a Crafter’s Companion border die.
I decided to use a “believe” title and cut with a Crafter’s Companion word die from Stardream Metallic GOLD 105 lb Cardstock.

With all the components die cut, stamped, colored and fussy cut, it is time to add to the front cover.
I adhered the Tangy Orange piece first to the center. A piece of the Classic Crest Natural card was cut to 5 3/4 x 6 3/4 and layered on top of the orange piece.

The gold create-a-card die cut piece was added next with the focal image. I adhered the “believe” die cut to the bottom.

To finish I added a strip of gold card stock between the bottom edge of natural card and the “believe” die cut. My fussy cut daisies were adhered and pink pearls added to embellish.

I hope you have enjoyed my project! We would love for you to connect with us over on the CutCardStock Facebook Page.
