We are about to enter strawberry season, folks! I remember this season fondly because, during college, I waited tables at a restaurant that specialized in pie. We did many, many years of prepping strawberries to put on top of desserts, breakfasts…and of course, strawberry pie!

This project makes me so happy to share because it is once again made with very few crafting supplies and comes together in minutes. I really like to have items like this around for last minute gifts, and I think this cute little basket would make a nice gift. Perhaps, for Mother’s Day?

I also believe this project would be easy for kids to assemble. There is very little to glue or get messy – just a couple staples hold the project together well.

To get started, you will need the Discount Twine Kraft Brown paper, the Wild Cherry Red paper along with a cutting tool, a stapler, scissors and a heart-shaped die cut. You may want to add leaves to your strawberry, which is another few punches or die cuts: one from Pop Tone Gumdrop Green and one from the Discount Light Granny Smith Green.

And, whether you die cut them or hand cut them, this is a great way to decorate! And, for the added extra special element, you will add seeds to the strawberry with the fabulous Black Glitter card stock paper!

Here is a close up of the card – don’t you love those little small punched hearts in the Black Glitter paper for a small hint of bling? It makes the whole project pop!

I’ve embellished the edge of the basket in a red gingham ribbon. Also, fill your basket with some green shredded paper, and perhaps some strawberry hard candies too!

Would you let me know below if you decide to give this project a try? I’d love to hear from you! Don’t forget to check out the CutCardStock glitter papers that are still on sale for the rest of the month too. I’m wishing you a “berry” nice week, everyone!
