An Edge-To-Edge Shaker Card!
Hey everybody! Are you a daredevil in the craft room or do you pretty much stay in your comfort zone?! I’m a daredevil of sorts… more so in the craft room than outside (lol)… and love trying new techniques! Leslie here sharing an edge-to-edge shaker card with you today which features our Gold Glitter cardstock, which I paired with several shades of purple, green and brown cardstock, and a little bit of golden yellow cardstock to create the flower embellishment.

Create the Flower Embellishment
Using the Sizzix Bloom Colorize Thinlits, I created the flower embellishment beforehand. With so many small pieces, I was afraid of losing some while taking photos. Layers of Basis Dark Purple, Pop-Tone Grapesicle, Pop-Tone Grape Jelly, Astrobrights Planetary Purple, and Grape Jellybean made up the large flower. Similarly, layers of Basis Pink and Pop-Tone Cotton Candy made up the smaller buds. The leaves and berries were cut from Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green, Pop-Tone Jellybean Green, Basis Green and Royal Sundance Linen Emerald. Finally, Basis Gold cardstock and Brown Bag Kraft Paper made up the large flower center, and the stems were cut from Basis Brown.

Cut the Card Base & Panels
A standard A2 size top-folding card base cut from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock is probably my most favorite. I cut front and inside layering panels along with an inside embellishing strip from Basis Dark Purple. Next, I cut a front layering panel as well as front and inside embellishing strips from Gold Glitter cardstock. Similarly, I cut front and inside layering panels from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock.

Adhere Panels and Add Sentiments
Next, I adhered the layers together to form the front and inside panels, and then stamped sentiments on each panel in purple ink.

Create Shaker Element & Complete Card
Finding a good variety of shapes and colors of sequins to make up the shaker bits was fun, and I added a pinch to the front panel.

Finally, I slid the panel and shaker bits into an A2 Shaker Pocket, sealed it, and adhered it to the front of the card base. I then adhered the flower embellishment to the front. In conclusion, I adhered the inside panel to the card base, which completed the card.
