Spring Strawberries

Hi! It’s Jill with Jill Cameron Creations. Spring has sprung! Okay, I’ll admit it’s not all the way here yet BUT spring does mean strawberry picking. I created this strawberry themed card with only three different colors of cardstock from CutCardStock.

Spring Strawberries

When you’re creating strawberries the red has to be the perfect shade of red. DCS Red Pepper cardstock is that perfect color. It’s also a great layering weight for paper crafts. This keeps your projects from being too bulky.

I used the same DSC Green Leaf cardstock for all of the greenery on this slimline card (8.5″ x 3.75″). It has a linen texture that adds extra depth to the each element.

All of the strawberry stamps and dies I used are from the Spring 2022 collection from Lawn Fawn. I used the Berry Special stamps and coordinating dies, Outside In Stitched Strawberry, Stitched Strawberry Frame, and Strawberry Patch. The background is Lisa Horton’s Festive Checked Frame.

I did a white on white background to create texture without taking away from the adorable strawberries. I also left plenty of white space to allow each element on the card to stand out. Its from Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock. This is also the cardstock I prefer to Copic color on.

I used Copic markers to add some details to the greenery and the little flowers. The I added some white details with a white gel pen.

I hope you enjoyed the spring themed strawberry card. Don’t forget to visit the CutCardStock shop and check out all those different shades of red. Which would you pick for your strawberries?
