Folk Flower Thank You
When you have a new die arrive in the mail, it’s time to play with the possibilities, don’t you think?
Card 1: Dreamy Yellow
Toni here with you today! For my first card, I die cut Cougar White cardstock with a cover plate, setting aside the outline portion for later use. I sponged both the Blank Cougar White A2 Folded Discount Card Stock 110lb base and the flower with Catherine Pooler inks. That cardstock takes the color so very well–love it!
Next, I adhered the flower to the card base then spattered the lot with water and Copic Opaque White.

Card 2: Glitter!
Using the first card’s leftover diecut, I made a second card. This time I cut out the flower using Lessebo Colors Premium Bubble Gum Pink cardstock. Sponging the petals with yellow created gradations of color for both cards.
I brought in some bling by using Silk Glitter Sparkling Water Aqua cardstock for the leaves. The leaves read blue in the photos but I had sponged it with yellow to create a green tint. That effect is more apparent in real life.

I assembled the card by adhering the first card’s leftover outline to the Blank Cougar White A2 Folded Discount Card Stock 110lb base. Next I adhered the floral elements.
Using a deep yellow Copic to add color, I changed out the center of the flower for Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock. I recommend you dab when using Copics on glitter or other rough cardstock to not damage the tip.
The Sentiment
To complete both cards, I diecut a Birch Press Design sentiment from Cougar White cardstock.
I used a Pop Tone Lemon Drop cardstock outline for the first card and a Lessebo Colors Coffee Bean cardstock shadow for the second.
