All Die Cut Beach Scene Slimline Card

Hello Crafty Friends! I am here today for CutCardStock with a fun slimline card created with die cut pieces!

Check out the depth created with just cardstock and embossing folders!

The Components

Use the SimonSaysStamp Layered Hills Die to created the multiple layers on this card. Cut the beach dunes from Royal Sundance Kraft Cardstock and emboss with the Organic Linen Embossing Folder from Altenew. Cut the coral hills from Pop-tone Bubble Gum, Basis Coral and and xxxxxx cardstock. Add depth using Vintage photo Distress Ink over the top and the edges.

The green hills can be cut from Gumdrop Green Cardstock and embossed with Altenew’s Angle Mosaic 3D embossing folder. Run a Mowed Lawn Distress ink pad on top and edge the piece. I am loving the dimension.

Cut the wavers from Basis Aqua and Pop-tone Blue Raspberry cardstock and emboss with Altenew’s Ribbon Waves 3D embossing folder. Add color with a Tumbled Glass inkpad.

Cut the slimline card base from the Royal Sundance Kraft cardstock. Cut the platform for the die cut pieces from a piece of cardstock cut 1/4 inch smaller on all sides for the base.

Assemble the Card

It is time now to create the scene! Trim a piece of Bazzill Blue cardstock to start the layering and add to the base. Add some white clouds cut from Cougar 80 lb. Cardstock, edges with Tumbled Glass Distress inks. Add a sun cut from Poptone Lemon Drop Cardstock, and you are ready to add the coral hills.

The green hills and waves are next. As you can see the layers are much wider than the card base. This allowed “wiggle room” to move the pieces around for the best fit.

The final addition are the sand layers at the bottom. Trim the extra cardstock from the edges and you are good to go! The scene needs a few birds in the sky, cut from Black Licorice Cardstock!

Check out the details in these close up photos! One final addition is a sentiment from the Essential Sentiment set from Altenew cut with Black Licorice Cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed this post today! Be sure to check out the amazing array of cardstock, paper and supplies available from CutCardStock.
