Color Block Manly Cards
Hello friends. It’s Teri posting for CutCardStock. Are you challenged by manly cards? I know I am. I am sharing two different cards plus a bonus card all made using three colors of Basis Cardstock and one large stamp!

Color Block Card
I’ve had the antique car stamp in my collection for many years! Let’s look at the color block card first! The first step was to cut strips of different widths of Basis Cardstock (Basis Dark Red, Basis Blue and Basis Light Blue). A Cougar 100 lb White A2 cardbase provided the base.

Next step is to heat emboss the car on the lower front. I inked the stamp well with VersaMark ink and stamped the image, pressing down on the wooden block. Silver Pearl embossing powder was the perfect choice.

Check out the dimension and pop of the Altenew Bold Greetings Hello! Two Dark Red Hellos, topped with one heat embossed with the Silver Pearl form the center of interest on this card.
One Color Card
A solid color card was intriguing to me, so I simply heat embossed the image with Silver Pearl embossing on the Blue Basis Cardstock trimmed to fit a Cougar 100 lb White A2 Cardbase. For contrast, I created a piece with 1/4 inch strips of the same Dark Red, Blue and Light Blue Cardstock. Double sided adhesive is an easy way to attach the strips.

The tricolor Color Block Hello really pops against the blue and silver pearl embossing. This is an easy design but carries a great impact!
I have a video for your viewing pleasure:
Bonus Card

The last card was created with the center striped panel, leftover from the last card. A piece of dark red houndstooth paper provided the perfect background for the bonus card! I love the way the pattern peeks through the opening. An easy card using the left-overs!
I hope this post has given you some ideas for Manly Cards! Be sure to check out all the great cardstock at CutCardStock. They carry a wide variety from glitter to colored cardstock and envelopes as well!
